Celebrity Cruises - Zenith
Celebrity Cruise Lines is offering a 10-day Western Caribbean Cruise to some of the most popular as well as some of the less frequented islands of the Caribbean. It is only right that Celebrity Cruise Line's Zenith will be making this trip, being the smallest, but most unique ships in the celebrity fleet. Guests will enjoy this distinctive itinerary on a ship that provides intimate ambience, cruising elegance and comfort.

After leaving the embarkation point of Tampa, Fl and spending a wonderful day at sea enjoying all the Zenith has to offer, guests will arrive at their first destination, Grand Cayman. Famous for is crystal clear waters, beautiful coral reef, and amazing sea life, guests should definitely spend some time on the beach and in the ocean. Grand Cayman does not have the vibrant party scene that can be found on the other Caribbean islands, so take this time to relax and enjoy the beauty and calmness of the island. The official currency of the Cayman Islands is the Cayman dollar which is worth about 25% more than the U.S. dollar. However, do not worry about exchanging money ahead of time since most places will accept the U.S. dollar at the proper exchange rate with very little fees.

The next stop after Grand Cayman for the Zenith is Puerto Limon, Costa Rica. Puerto Limon has captivating architecture and many open air market places. Guests should go to the main market in the center of town to buy everything from wood carved items to traditional souvenirs. Be sure to pick up some cashew nuts or at least try the cashew wine, which are both specialties of Puerto Limon and Costa Rica. Despite the fact that the city is rather laidback during the day, at night things heat up in Puerto Limon. The nightlife here is as good as the other Caribbean islands, if not better, with a number of bars and restaurants found all over the city. Pay attention to the currency in Costa Rica with all the shopping and partying. The official currency is the Costa Rican colon and the exchange rate is approximately 500 colon to 1 U.S. dollar. Locals will try and fool tourists by accepting U.S. dollars at poor exchange rates, and unfortunately, many tourists do not know any better.

From Costa Rica, the Zenith will sail to Colon, Panama, located at the Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal. The beaches are beautiful on the Atlantic Coast and are sure to amaze you with their turquoise waters and the sheer beauty of the seascape. You have a choice of both black-sand beaches and white-sand beaches, both of which are beautiful, but be sure to wear sandals if you choose the black-sand because it heats up very quickly and gets extremely hot. The official currency of Panama is the Panamanian Balboa, but since it is equal to the U.S. dollar, most places in Panama will accept both.

The next destination for the Zenith is Roatan, Honduras, located 40 miles northeast of Honduras. Roatan is an island like no other, with palm trees, shimmering sand beaches, and picturesque sunsets. Becoming more popular with tourists each passing year, there are wonderful sporting adventures to take part in, including both scuba diving and sport fishing. The landscape of Roatan is diverse ranging from tropical jungles to white-sand beaches; making it a place where everyone can find something they are interested in. There are spectacular restaurants and bars and a few enjoyable clusters of shops and boutiques. The official currency of Honduras is the Honduran lempira, which is worth about 5% of the U.S. dollar. It is important to exchange money ahead of time, because the locals of Honduras will charge outstanding exchange rates and fees to accept U.S. dollars.

The last stop on this unforgettable adventure is Cozumel, Mexico. As Mexico's largest island, Cozumel is the perfect vacation destination. Cozumel has been rated the best spot in the world for scuba diving and snorkeling, year after year, so exploring the waters is a definite must while visiting this island. Shopping is prevalent, and duty-free stores, selling just about everything invite the seasoned bargain hunter. The nightlife in Cozumel is one to be raved about, famous for its bars that give tequila shots to everyone who passes through the door. The official currency in Cozumel is the Mexican peso, but stores and restaurants alike are happy to accept U.S. dollars for no fee at the proper exchange rate.
