Currency Referral Bonus Program Disclosure

The Currency Referral Bonus Program (“Program”) is offered subject to the following terms and conditions:

Program Terms

  1. Modification and Termination: Program terms are subject to change and may be terminated at any time without prior notice.
  2. Referral Fee: A referral fee of $250.00 will be paid for each referred, funded customer through your unique referral link, up to a maximum of $1,750 per calendar year or seven (7) funded referrals, whichever occurs first.
  3. Eligibility of Referrals:
    • Only referrals made using your unique referral link are eligible.
    • Referral links will be issued to borrowers upon funding.
    • Each referred applicant must be someone with whom you have a personal, direct relationship. Distribution of referral links via mass email, commercial advertising, or similar solicitation methods is strictly prohibited.
    • The referral is eligible for loans made for business/commercial use only; personal loan requests will not be eligible for this Referral Bonus Program
  4. Referrals must be for new customers with no prior loan history with Currency.
  5. Participant Eligibility: To receive a referral fee, you must be in good standing with Currency at the time of funding. Your loan must be current and not in default.
  6. Referral Link Validity: Referral links remain active as long as the Program is not terminated.
  7. Review and Disqualification: Currency reserves the right to review all referrals and disqualify any participant from the Program at its sole discretion.
  8. Limitations: Only one referral bonus will be paid per referred customer once all qualification criteria have been met.

Payment and Tax Reporting

  1. Payment Method: Referral fees will be credited via ACH to the account on file with Currency once the referred loan is funded.
  2. Tax Reporting: Bonus amounts of $2,000 or greater in a single calendar year will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as miscellaneous income on Form 1099-MISC in the year received, as required by applicable law.
  3. Tax Responsibility: Recipients are responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes associated with receiving the bonus. Please consult your tax advisor to determine applicable tax consequences.
